 In memory of Robyn Adele Ford, a Nicholls State University education student who passed away this week after a battle with cancer, the Nicholls College of Education has joined Ford's family in establishing a memorial scholarship for high-achieving students who have also contended with the disease.

11/8/2011   TERREBONNE GENERAL MEDICAL CENTER EARNS ACR ACCREDITATION
 

Terrebonne General Medical Center (TGMC) has been awarded a three-year term of accreditation in nuclear medicine as the result of a recent review by the American College of Radiology (ACR). Nuclear medicine is a branch of medical imaging that uses small amounts of radioactive material, ingested by the patient, to diagnose and treat a variety of disease, including many types of cancers, heart disease, and certain other abnormalities within the body.

Music at St. John's presents soprano Valerie Francis on Sunday, November 6, at 3:00 p.m., at St. John's Episcopal Church, 718 Jackson Street, Thibodaux. Admission is $10. Student admission is $5 and those 18 and younger are admitted free of charge. A reception will follow the concert where you can visit with the performer.

 The Pink Glove Dance is spreading to Thibodaux Regional Medical Center. More than 150 staff members at Thibodaux Regional are starring in their own Pink Glove Dance video to help spread the word about breast cancer awareness and prevention.
