ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE
- Work with TEDA board for business retention and attraction
- Be a voice for the LONI fiber optic network
- By involved in the land use plan
- Continue to support workforce development issues
- Be a voice in the development of our community
EDUCATION COMMITTEE
- Continue to support the capital improvement of Terrebonne Parish School system
- Ensure that the education system meets the needs of skilled labor
- Monitor state and local budge cuts and their impact on higher education
- Support the efforts of the Community College to obtain the US Agricultural site
NATURAL RESOURCES COMMITTEE
- Continue to monitor and support the Morganza to the Gulf Hurricane Protection System
- Unify support from the Energy Bill to build the lock on the Houma Navigation Canal
- Support and build alliances regarding Coastal Restoration projects
- Support the creation of interior non federal levees for Terrebonne Parish
GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS COMMITTEE
- Strengthen relationships with local, state and federal officials and agencies
- Share our plan of work with elected officials and schedule quarterly meetings to discuss progress
- Publicly support issues of importance to the business community
- Continue our annual trip to Washington DC and Baton Rouge
INFRASTRUCTURE COMMITTEE
- Continue to monitor local road and bridge projects – Hwy 311, Hollywood Rd., Prospect Street Bridge Replacement
- Continue monitoring the progress of the North/South Hurricane Evacuation Route
- Support the expansion of the airport for cargo and freight
- Support the Port of Terrebonne
